Greg Greene


Greg Greene is an epidemiologist with a focus on implementation science. He served as Cryptococcal Screening Program Coordinator with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2014-2019, supporting efforts to address advanced HIV disease and cryptococcal meningitis in 16 countries. He also served at South Africa’s National Institute for Communicable Diseases as Project Manager of the CAST-NET study, a national evaluation of cryptococcal screening in the country. As a doctoral candidate at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, his research has focused on cryptococcal screening implementation, uptake, and access.

Currently, Greg is working with Integral Global on projects in Africa. He also leads IG’s efforts in the Getting to Zero Cryptococcal Meningitis Deaths project, assisting ministries of health bringing together key stakeholders and partners to implement and optimize care for individuals with advanced HIV disease, strengthen health systems, and ultimately to improve patient outcomes.
