Dr. Lisa Bryde is a senior instructional designer and epidemiologist with more than 20 years of experience in developing curricula and training programs for epidemiologists across the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia regions. She has played a pivotal role in strengthening public health capacity by designing and delivering learning experiences that equip professionals to respond effectively to emerging health threats.
Lisa has worked extensively with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she contributed to the design and facilitation of the Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETPs) in countries including Pakistan, Jordan, Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, Kazakhstan, and Georgia. Her expertise has also supported the missions of leading international organizations such as the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET), Doctors Without Borders (MSF), and the Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE).
Combining her background in public health and instructional design, Lisa integrates evidence-based training strategies with innovative curriculum development to build sustainable workforce capacity in epidemiology and disease control.
She holds dual doctoral degrees: a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology and Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia, and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Emory University.
