IGH is conducting a training program for clinicians, public health specialists, and nurses who are involved in the surveillance, diagnosis, and treatment of Hepatitis patients in Uzbekistan at the Institute of Virology. The aim is to develop laboratory quality assurance practices at IOV. Currently, there is none and this project aims to develop lab quality of the hepatitis diagnostics at the institute. We are also working with the IOV to convene a national steering committee that provides input into hepatitis elimination efforts in Uzbekistan.
