Integral Global is seeking a Data Manager based in Amman, Jordan to work at the Global Polio Eradication Initiative Hub office and assist with data management and analysis collection. Possibility that the candidate will be able to provide support remotely depending on location and qualifications.

Qualification
- Master’s degree in public health, Biostatistics, Systems Analysis, Computer Programming, or
related field. - At least 4 years’ experience as a Data Manager, Data Programmer, Data Analyst, Information Management Officer, GIS Officer or Data Management and Visualization Officer.
- Proficient in using XLS, Word, PowerPoint, CODING, ARC GIS, QGIS, Power BI, Adobe illustrator, MS Access, EPI Info, STATA, and SPSS
- Experience working with polio and immunization related data and indicators.
- Strong attention to detail with an affinity and desire to work with data
- Familiarity and working in health WHO EMRO region is desirable
- Ability to balance assignments, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team
- Ability to conduct training and capacity building
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide the technical support to GPEI Hub to receive, store, and standardize polio data (SIAs and Surveillance) and facilitate enhanced analytics to have informed decision-making for Pakistan and Afghanistan.
- Provide technical support to Pakistan and Afghanistan country teams to integrate data collected in the development of a shared epidemiological profile
- Clean historical data received in different formats like excel, csv, access etc.
- Coordinate with countries under guidance of supervisor to obtain raw data from the countries to clean prepare for analysis.
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports, printouts, presentations, and indicators.
- Conduct data analytics and GIS mapping tasks including the collection, analysis, evaluation, and translation of polio surveillance data from Pakistan and Afghanistan.
- Develop electronic data collection, visualization systems and dashboards for consideration of the GPEI Hub and support the implementation in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
- Conduct statistical analysis on data collected to inform the development of relevant GPEI’s reports and peer-reviewed publications, including translating data into actionable information for consideration of program managers.
- Provide technical inputs to inform GPEI’s activities towards the development and execution of overall program strategy, provide technical support, as and when appropriate, on project monitoring and evaluation, and epidemiological analysis of program level data.
- Support conduct of programmatic reviews such as the technical advisory group meeting, surveillance review, SIA data reviews to help identify possible challenges with polio eradication efforts in Pakistan and Afghanistan
- Respond to specific requests for information from technical teams; support GPEI’s activities on dissemination of information and knowledge sharing with partners at the GPEI Hub as well as Pakistan and Afghanistan country teams.
- Verify data quality (completeness, timeliness), identify gaps in health information management, as well as provide corrective actions and draft technical inputs to inform the development of project proposals, internal and external situation reports (SitReps), bulletins, health risk assessments, health needs overviews and strategic response plans
- Support in the conduct of trainings when appropriate at country level on data quality, data analysis, interpretation, and feedback in Pakistan and Afghanistan
- Support in the development and automation of data analytics tools to enhance availability of information for programmatic decision making in Pakistan and Afghanistan
- Support in analysis of genetic cluster data for wild polio virus, tracking of emergence of vaccine derived polio virus to enhance programmatic response to outbreaks.
