IGH Implements Second Process Improvement Workshop in Uzbekistan

In June 2021, Technical Expert Dr. Brian Robie and Program Manager Jenna Buttolph traveled to Tashkent, Uzbekistan to implement a participatory workshop regarding the importance of Process Improvement. The practice of process improvement entails identifying, analyzing, and improving processes to optimize performance, meet best practice standards, and improve the quality of service and experience to the end user. This can be broadly applied to multiple disciplines including public health. The participants come from a variety of institutions that reflect both the public health and educational field in-country. Integral Global Health began working on process improvement to improve laboratory diagnostics at the Research Institute of Virology and since then the concept has caught the attention of other institutes within the national government. IGH was delighted to have the opportunity to assist with in-country capacity development for The Republic of Uzbekistan.
