Integral Global (IG) is implementing a tobacco cessation project with the Common Management Unit (CMU) and Pakistan’s Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation, and Coordination. Key activities under this effort include integrating tobacco cessation into routine TB services, including establishing a Technical Working Committee (TWC) for technical guidance, reviewing existing policies and guidelines, updating TB recording tools to capture tobacco use status, and developing capacity-building guidelines for healthcare providers. A total of 103 TB clinics will be engaged and branded as tobacco cessation centers to provide integrated counseling and patient education, supported by information and education communication (IEC) materials, social media outreach, and regular monitoring. A post-assessment will be done to evaluate project progress and document lessons learned.
