During two projects, Integral Global (IG) supported CDC’s DGHP in developing curriculum as a part of their Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) training model. IG provided technical expertise to the project through its Instructional Designer, Graphic Designer, and Translator, who worked together to develop context-specific training materials. The curriculum will train clinicians and community health workers on methods to identify and respond to cases of various infectious diseases prevalent in Spanish and French-speaking countries. The curriculum was piloted in Cameroon. Examples of these diseases include Measles, Dengue Fever, Plague, Chikungunya, Malaria, Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, Rabies, Influenza, Zika, and Botulism. After these trainings, countries will be better equipped to ensure a quicker response in line with the 7-1-7 target for detection, notification, and response to emerging public health threats.
