Overview
IGH previously conducted a training program for clinicians, public health specialists, and nurses who are involved in the surveillance, diagnosis, and treatment of Hepatitis patients in Uzbekistan at the Institute of Virology (IOV). The aim was to develop laboratory quality assurance practices at IOV. Before the project, there was not any practices demonstrated in-country, so this project aimed to develop lab quality of the hepatitis diagnostics at the institute. Integral Global Health was also working with the IOV to convene a national steering committee that provides input into hepatitis elimination efforts in Uzbekistan.
