Exciting News from The Republic of Uzbekistan
Integral Global is proud to formally introduce members from the Uzbekistan office, Malika Khodjaeva and Elisaveta Joldosova. Malika is Integral Global Health’s Program Director for Uzbekistan, and Elisaveta serves as a Program Coordinator for the projects in-country. Malika has successful, professional experience in the implementation and coordination of public health programs in Uzbekistan. She currently supports the management of several projects that are simultaneously operating in Uzbekistan. Elisaveta leads the programming around Hepatitis C reduction, laboratory quality assurance, and global health security for Integral Global. Additionally, she is the Project Coordinator and Research Assistant at the Research Institute of Virology, housed with the Uzbekistan Ministry of Health.
Recently, Integral Global has been officially registered to work and operate in-country! IG launched a project to support the Government of Uzbekistan’s effort to improve its public health emergency operations, surveillance systems, and laboratory capacity. The goal is to accelerate the government’s effort to become a global health security leader in the Central Asian region and its capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to naturally occurring outbreaks, intentional or accidental releases, and biological threats of international concern. To maximize the efficacy and sustainability of the outcomes, IG is working closely with the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and CRDF Global. This activity is part of CDC’s global health security agenda to strengthen the world’s ability to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease threats. This project also addresses the urgent need to develop Uzbekistan’s capacity to respond to COVID-19.
Welcome Malika and Elisaveta!
